The Bannatyne TMCSL Sleeve Moisture Trap is a meticulously designed system aimed at maintaining the optimal playing environment for bagpipes. Conveniently attached to the blowpipe stock within the bag, it efficiently reduces excess moisture, ensuring the longevity of your instrument.

- A waterproof sheath that culminates in a closed end, housing a reusable moisture canister filled with silica gels.
These silica gels serve as the primary moisture-absorbing agent, transforming in color to blue/green as they capture humidity.

Over time and usage, the silica gels will absorb moisture and change their color. Even when they turn blue/green, they usually still have around 90% of their absorption capacity left. However, to restore them to their original orange color (indicating 100% capacity) and ensure optimal moisture absorption:
- Place the canister in an oven.
- Set the oven with air circulation to 50 degrees Celsius.
- Heat for approximately 20 minutes.
Alternatively, drying the pellets by placing the canister on a heater or in a warm place overnight can also be effective, but the oven method ensures a complete refresh.
