The Highland Bagpipe Tutor Book 3 is the natural progression from the The Highland Bagpipe Tutor Book 1 (College Tutor 1). Tutor Book 3 provides an introduction to the playing of competition marches, strathspeys, reels, hornpipes and jigs. There are also tunes for dancing and lessons on standard pieces such as Scotland the Brave and Flowers of the Forest.
This Tutor 3 book was first published in 1969 and authored by Seumas MacNeill and Thomas Peartson who where co-founders of the College of Piping. It has undergone several revisions over the years and as a result of the incorporation of the College of Piping into the National Piping Centre in May 2018, the book was brought up to date and is now printed in full colour.
