Our Ladies’ pattern PIPER Argyll Jacket is a stylish and functional garment designed specifically for female bagpipers. While traditionally part of a uniform for male pipers, the design has been adapted to provide a better fit for women.
Made from high-quality 19 oz Barathea wool, this black jacket is both durable and comfortable. The flattering cut is tailored to the female body shape, featuring a fitted waist to ensure it looks great while allowing freedom of movement during performances.
The Argyll jacket can be worn with or without a waistcoat, which is available separately. This gives you the flexibility to create a look that suits your individual style and needs. Whether you wear it with a tie or bow tie, a dress, or with semi-formal sporran and ghillie brogues, this jacket is sure to look great and feel fantastic.
Please note that the price is for the jacket only; accessories must be ordered separately.
Finding the right size:
The sizing shown is based on chest size in inches. A size UK38 is for someone with a chest size of 38 inches (96.52 cm). First establish your chest size. You now have to select the correct length. UK38R is a regular (standard) fit, R stands for Regular, S stands for short and L stands for long. If you consider yourself to be average height for your size, then a Regular fit would be your choice. Otherwise, please select Short or Long accordingly. The difference in length (sleeve and body) over a Regular size is +|- 1 inch (2.5 cm). Our stock jackets will fit the majority of people. We do offer a made-to-measure service if you are unable to find a size to fit.
