R.G. Hardie bagpipes, crafted in Scotland from premium African Blackwood, are the choice of military pipe bands and proudly owned by pipers worldwide. Known for their distinctive, timeless look and excellent value, they are ideal for beginners who take piping seriously as well as seasoned performers. Each set is handcrafted to the highest standards by master craftsmen, ensuring outstanding tone, stability and durability.

Enjoy the beauty of our hand-crafted Blackwood. One of the standout features of R.G. Hardie bagpipes is the innovative plastic lining system that protects the inside of the wood from the stresses and strains caused by moisture. The blowpipe and blowpipe stock – the areas most exposed to moisture – are plastic lined as standard on all our bagpipes. This significantly reduces the risk of cracking while maintaining consistent performance over time.

Each set proudly features R.G. Hardie and the year of manufacture engraved on the bass stock, signifying authenticity, heritage and traceability.
