These ridge-cut Highland pipe chanter reeds, complete with a copper staple, are made in small batches from high-quality Spanish cane.
Each batch is designed to be versatile, compatible with a variety of pipe chanters, and undergoes rigorous testing in several different chanters by today's leading makers, primarily in a Shepherd MK 3 chanter. The reeds are particularly well suited to various models of Shepherd, G1, and McCallum chanters.
The reeds come in three strengths: easy, medium, and hard.
