Fred Morrison Uilleann PRACTICE Pipe, with stop key
The practice set is a great way to get started on the uilleann pipes and is easily upgradable to a half or full set. Our practice sets come fitted with a rim stock and adaptor (see pics), which means that if drones are later added to make a half set, they can simply be plugged in. The windway of the chanter for the practice set can come with or without a stop key. The stop key is also a good option if you plan to upgrade to a half set.
The chanter has good volume and very musical. It has a great action to play and the notes roll out very well. Great sounding back D and hard D and very good overall tuning throughout the two octaves. Every chanter comes with two keys as standard – F natural and C natural – reeded of course.
The bag is hand made and stitched by world renowned bag maker Lawrence Thomson to a template which we’ve developed to give the player maximum comfort when playing.
The luxury hand made bellows are fully padded with hand-sewn plush leather cushions on the front and back to ensure comfort and ease of play. The bellows are made from the highest quality components to ensure many years of great playing.

We offer Fred Morrison Uilleann Bagpipes with a standard-sized waist belt, ranging from 34 inches to 46 inches. If needed, the belt can be easily adjusted to a smaller size by adding extra holes. For those who require a larger belt, we can provide one that accommodates waist sizes from 52 inches to 64 inches, and this too can be resized by adding extra holes. Additionally, the larger belt can be trimmed down to create custom sizes to suit your preference.
Furthermore, our standard stock includes Uilleann Bagpipes with a green cover. However, if you desire a different color for the cover, we can accommodate your request. Simply let us know your preferred color, and we'll do our best to provide you with the option you desire.
