This chanter reed is for bellows blown small pipes (dry blown air). It can be used with mouth blown small pipes that have a moisture control system attached to the chanter, making sure only dry air passes to the reed. The reed will deteriorate rapidly if the reed absorbed moisture.

The newly developed ROSSA plastic small pipe chanter reed is the perfect solution for players of Fred Morrison Smallpipes or McCallum Smallpipes in A.We worked closely with Mario Rossa in Germany to create a reed specifically for these smallpipes, which until now were only supplied with cane reeds.
