We all know the highland bagpipe is a loud instrument, that’s why we love it!
The sound (noise volume) of a highland bagpipe is in excess of 100 decibels, the Scottish snare drum even louder at approx. 120 db. Listening to these instruments for a prolonged time without ear protection can be very harmful, depending on how long and how often you are exposed to them. Hearing protection is highly recommended and absolutely necessary if you want to protect your health and wellbeing.
The BandSpec BLUE Ear Plugs provide ideal protection for highland bagpipe players and Scottish snare drummers alike. The BLUE Ear Plugs are a high quality, low cost alternative to ear plugs with acoustic filters. They reduce the noice by approx. 25db.
The BLUE Ear Plugs are made of soft silicone and are very comfortable to wear. The conical shape offers a great fit for all sizes. We believe if they are comfortable to wear then you will want to wear them every time you play.
