The Fagerstroem Technopipe with optical chanter holes is the latest evolution of this popular electronic practice instrument. It offers the same trusted functionality as the Mk II while providing a more realistic playing experience thanks to advanced optical sensor technology.
The optical chanter holes deliver a very natural feel under the fingers and encourage precise finger placement. Unlike traditional contact sensors, they are not affected by dry skin, ensuring reliable and consistent performance in all playing conditions. The instrument feels close to a real chanter and is enjoyable for both beginners and experienced pipers.
Highly portable and compact, the Technopipe contains all electronics within the instrument itself—no external box required. It is ideal for quiet practice at home or on the move, simply connect standard 3.5 mm stereo earphones (not included).
The Technopipe features both automatic calibration and manually adjustable sensor sensitivity, allowing you to tailor the response to your playing style. Additional functions such as a built-in metronome, recording capability, adjustable pitch, and MIDI output make it a versatile and powerful practice tool.
The instrument runs on one standard AAA 1.5V alkaline battery or one AAA 1.2V NiMH rechargeable battery (not included) and provides up to approximately 20 hours of playing time (based on a 1000mAh NiMH battery).
