Boveda 75% Humidity Packs (8g) for Mid-Term Storage of Bagpipe Chanter Reeds
The 75% Boveda humidity packs are designed for mid-term storage, helping to maintain optimal moisture levels for bagpipe chanter reeds. By creating a stable 75% humidity environment, these packs prevent reeds from drying out and ensure they remain in excellent condition.
Ideal for use with storage solutions like the BandSpec Reedvault and the Tone Protector storage box, Boveda humidity packs are a simple and effective way to keep your reeds performance-ready.

Boveda Packs help regulate the humidity inside the reed box. It is important that the packs are not made directly wet and that they do not lie in water.
If the Boveda Packs have become dry, you can slowly rehydrate them. This can be done as follows:
- Place the dry Boveda Packs in a small open container, for example a small Tupperware container.
- Do not add any water to this small container and do not put a lid on it.
- Then place this small open container inside a larger Tupperware container with a lid.
- Add a small amount of water to the larger container, approx. 1 cm is enough.
- It is important that the Boveda Packs themselves do not lie in the water.
- The small container can simply stand inside the larger container or float on the water.
- Then close the lid of the large container and leave everything for a few days.
The Boveda Packs will slowly absorb moisture from the air again, without becoming directly wet.
Please never place Boveda Packs directly in water. If they become too wet, the humidity inside the reed box can become too high. In the worst case, this can cause reeds to grow mould.
